Manager of Data Services - OAK - DSV (Req #1009)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring Manager of Data Services in our Data Services department. Responsibilities include: Collaborate with senior members of IT and the CIO to develop cohesive short & long term solutions to the challenges of IDT's ever changing landscape; Create an open and effective environment for employees within Data Services; Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot existing MS-SQL databases that support business applications using data modeling techniques; Support & maintain database architecture and database design requirements from the various other IT departments; Maintain backup and recovery systems, sizing, security, replication, database optimization, schema creation & maintenance; Work with software developers to architect data models for efficient data access, reporting, & data validation; Design & Manage Data Import/Export processes & procedures; Continually develop new data archival plans; Support our existing SSRS installation; Elicit user requirements & proactively search for solutions to reporting needs; Manage ad-hoc reporting requests & provide users with accurate answers to complex questions the various parts of the business; Deploy & expand upon IDT's data warehouse; Integrate reporting solutions into the SharePoint intranet system; & various other duties. Key Acct. Admin. I - COR - KEA (Req #1063)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a full time Key Account Administrator I in the Key Accounts group. Responsibilities include providing customer-specific care that encompasses the following: answering & documenting all incoming support calls from IDT's Key Account customers; project administration; review of orders acting as a direct liaison between Technical Support staff and Key Account customers; a general understanding of quality control documents and overall manufacturing history; the ability to develop and interpret in-house quality assurance documents; invoicing and account receivable duties and establishing relationships with high-profile clientele. Multi-tasking and the ability to make independent decisions following detailed training will be expected. Understanding IDT's product applications as they apply to customer usage is essential to excel in this position; IDT's Quality System and application to client's needs will be a priority for this position. Job Qualifications: a four year degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related science field and/or one year of experience in a biotech or research laboratory environment preferred; thorough knowledge of business writing practices; excellent computer skills specific to Microsoft applications; ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and all levels of management; ability to multi task during times of heavy work loads and work over 40 hours/week as necessary. Candidates must also be able type 60 wpm and lift 25 lbs. This position will work Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Production Technicians

Production Technician I - COR - PTG (Req #1059)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring a part time Production Technician in our Production Technician group. Responsibilities include: Preparing and filling columns to be used in the synthesis of Oligos; filling of disposable plastics such as pipette tips; preparing reagent bottles for the Chemistry Processing group; printing all the labels that are needed for column and reagent bottle preparation; assisting with X96 support loading processes as needed; affixing labels obtained from a Zebra printer to columns; assisting Materials Chemistry department with glass plate silanization and powder sieving; performing the cleaning and frit insertion processes for the X96 plates; performing the cleaning and restocking of used mat caps; using Epicor inventory system to track usages of materials; following all work instructions pertaining to processes; and reporting any problems to Assistant Manager. Qualifications include: a high school diploma; good computer skills and the ability to multitask; ability to carry out repetitive tasks and lift up to 30 lbs. This individual must be detail oriented and work well as a group or independently. This position requires working 15-35 hours day/evening shifts.

Small Molecule Chemistry

Chemist I - COR - SMC (Req #1065)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring for a full time Chemist I in the Small Molecule Chemistry group. Responsibilities include: Operate laboratory equipment involved in the synthesis process of oligonucleotide reagents including process equipment, purification columns, reaction vessels, monitoring waste and reagent levels; Synthesize reagents for the use as raw materials in the production of oligonucleotides or the production of other reagents; Analyze final products and intermediates by HPLC, NMR, TLC, etc; Improve and develop existing synthetic routes of chemical reagents; Cleaning the laboratory and equipment associated; & Dispose of waste products produced. Job Qualifications: Must have at least a Bachelor's degree in a Science related field, preferably in a Chemistry degree, or related experience; Must have at least one (1) year experience in synthetic organic chemistry; Have the ability to pay attention to detail, multitask & have excellent computer skills; Must be able to interact in a professional manner with customers, fellow employees, other departments and all levels of management; Be able to work as a group and/or independently; Possesses the ability to adapt to changes in the process; & willingness and ability to work with chemicals safely and responsibly.

Synthetic Biology

Production Scientist I - COR - SYB (Req #1058)
Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring a full time Production Scientist I or II in our Synthetic Biology group. Responsibilities include: Improving existing technologies and products and help develop new ones; Interpret data gathered from sequencer; Maintain accurate inventory by completing transaction in Epicor; Assemble genes from single stranded DNA fragments following SOP's & protocols; Perform decontamination on instruments/equipment as specified; & fill out required checklists & perform verification for others when necessary. Job Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's degree in a science related field; Must have experience in molecular biology or gene synthesis or other related fields; Have excellent computer skills, be highly organized, and able to multitask; Ability to work overtime as mandated by management; Must be able to work in a group or independently; Must be able to lift 25 lbs. This is a full time position working Thursday-Sunday 10am-9pm.

Responsibilities: Develop content for the web using Flash animation to improve the overall quality of our advertising and website; Assist in developing next-generation interfaces for areas of the site that require complex interface design (sequence design, product configuration, etc.); Build training and production demonstration animations to inform customers and employees of new product functions; Assist Application Development in designing user friendly interfaces for internal applications. Integrated DNA Technologies is currently hiring a full time Web Developer in the Web Development group. Responsibilities include: Architect & produce the most functional, attractive, and useful web systems in the biotechnology field; Produce functional, robust, cross-platform, cross-browser web pages using a combination of ASP, Dynamic HTML, & other bleeding-edge technologies; Work cooperatively with other programmers & designers; Test code, track, & fix bugs as needed; Provide documentation and/or commented code to make it possible for others to understand how the code works; Work with the development group & the acting DBA for decisions regarding database access tools & techniques. Qualifications include: a Computer Science degree or equivalent. Applicants should also have at least three years experience with web based programming languages. Visual Studio, .NET, HTML, XML, & ASP.Net are preferred, but JSP, PHP, & Java are acceptable. Should have experience with current relational database products such as MS-SQL server 7 or 2000 is preferred, but Oracle, DB2, or Sybase is acceptable.
