Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) is a leader in manufacturing and developing products for the research and diagnostic life science market. IDT serves the areas of academic research, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical development. Founded by Dr. Joseph Walder in 1987, IDT’s development has been guided by an uncompromising approach to quality, a belief in the value of good service, and a determination to minimize consumer costs. IDT’s headquarters is located in Coralville, Iowa in a 134,000 sq. feet (12,450 sq. meters) state-of-the-art facility. West Coast customers are served from San Diego, where IDT began production in 2005. IDT established its European operating base in Leuven, Belgium in 2006 by constructing a new 2,000 sq. meter facility incorporating its market-leading technology and manufacturing processes. IDT now has over 500 employees and ships over 20,000 oligos per day.

• Reagent and Input Control – IDT receives all solvents in large bulk containers, runs QC on all incoming materials, performs bulk reagent formulation and performs functional QC on all reagents.

In line with IDT’s mission to advance research in DNA-based technologies, the research staff at IDT combines expertise in synthetic chemistry, biophysics, molecular biology, bioinformatics, and engineering. IDT specializes in the areas of gene silencing based on RNAi, ddRNAi and antisense technologies, transcription profiling, DNA sequencing, SNP detection, and DNA amplification. This expertise has led to research and development collaborations with many leading biotechnology companies and academic laboratories.
